Fishing in Telemark.
Lystang Camping rents out its boats until the lake freezes.
The camping is situated between lake Heddalsvatnet and Bråfjorden.
From Bråfjorden the river Sauarelva runs on until it comes into the lake Norsjø.
It is allowed to catch char, freshwater herring, perch and pike.
Salmon and seatrout have to be returned into the water again,
from October 1. – May 31.
Fishing cards are for sale in the reception.
Contact us for a nice weekend offer: rent a cabin incl. use of boat,
arriving Friday with depatrure Sunday.
Our camping lies on the border of Nautesund Fuglefredningsområde, which is a part of Bråfjorden and Gvannesbukta i Sauherad.
This is a good area for birds the whole year, as the river under the bridge stays open.
Several groups of beavers have their lodge in this area of the Canal.
You may be lucky to see them working if you enjoy the canoes in the evening.
Ask us and we will tell you where to go…..
From the camping you can follow the route “Den blå idyll” which leads you to Notodden, the bluestown, or take the other direction to Nordagutu or Akkerhaugen.
In our reception you will find a map over other routes here in this district.
